  • A hospital in Arizona is looking for experienced nurses for a travel contract for their MS/Tele float pool.
  • The right candidate will have 2+ years of current tele experience, an active BLS, ACLS and AZ license or compact.
  • TRAVELERS MUST BE ABLE TO TITRATE DRIPS!! There will be frequent floating to the sister facility, Mercy Gilbert.
  • Travelers are required to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to starting (2 max attempts) and will take a pass/fail Sim lab on day 1 of orientation.
  • COVID vaccine is required or declination form with supporting documentation from clergy or MD.
    • Job Requirements
    • 2+ years of current tele experience
    • Active BLS, ACLS
    • AZ license or compact license
    • Ability to titrate drips
    • Pass a dysrhythmia exam (2 max attempts)
    • Pass a Sim lab on day 1 of orientation
    • COVID vaccine or declination form with documentation
      • Schedule Information
      • 12 hr shifts: 7-7
      • Every other weekend requirement
      • Floating is required
      • 4 weekend shifts per 4 week period
      • One major and one minor holiday work required
        • Unit Specific Information
        • CV Tele B3A: 32 beds, ratio 1:3-4, no patient assignment for Charge Nurse, no ventilators
        • A3 Neuro: 28 beds, ratio 1:3-4, no ICP monitoring, specializes in neuro post-surgical patients
        • MedSurg C5: 32 beds, ortho/surgical/oncology, ratio 1:4, no ventilators, ICU pharmacist on days
        • MedSurg B2C: 29 beds, general MedSurg/tele patients, ratio 1:4, no ventilators, 'new grad training unit'
          • Additional Details
          • Floating would include between Chandler & Mercy Gilbert campuses
          • Notification of campus and unit given 1.5 hrs prior to shift start
          • Floating to different units mid-shift can happen
          • Rare to float to another campus within a single shift, but possible
          • Must clock-out when leaving one campus then clock-in when arrive at the other campus
