• Certification Details
• Required Certifications include BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• TNCC is preferred.
• Active AZ license or compact license.
  • Job Details
  • THIS POSITION REQUIRES A FULL 3 YEARS OF ICU EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED.
  • The right candidate will have 3 full years of current ICU experience.
  • Travelers could also float to the sister facility Mercy Gilbert, if needed.
  • Typically, every other weekend is required but might have to work 3 weekends a month if unit is busy and needs extra coverage.
  • Flexibility is a must.
  • Travelers must pass a dysrhythmia exam upon offer with 2 max attempts.
  • There is also a pass/fail Sim Lab on Day 1 of orientation (study guides will be provided with the first day instructions).
  • COVID vaccine is required or declination form with appropriate documentation AND hospital approval.
    • Job Requirements
    • EXPERIENCE must also include EITHER neuro or CV.
    • UNA Dysrhythmia Exam required 24-48hrs PRIOR TO ACCEPTANCE of a position.
    • RNs required to titrate drips.
    • Experience or 'Must have' skills
    • Charge Nurse roles include duties without taking patients.
      • Schedule Information
      • Self scheduling.
      • Manager may need to balance shifts for unit needs.
      • 3 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule, Nightshift weekends are Friday - Saturday. Dayshift are Saturday - Sunday.
      • May have 1 holiday off in an assignment.
      • No additional call/standby shifts required.
      • May be low censused up to 3 times per contract depending on unit needs.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Surgical ICU - Trauma Neuro Surgery
        • Medical ICU - Medical Cardiac + Overflow
        • CVICU- Various procedures.
        • No monitor techs on unit, RN required to interpret own strip.
        • RT in ICU 24/7
        • Dress Code: Navy
        • Unit/Department specific orientation of 1-2 days.
          • Additional Details
          • Will validate skills for trauma, neuro and speciality devices as needed.
          • Expectation is to float between all 3 ICUs.
          • Okay with first time traveler, however must have 3 years experience (with 2 of those years in the ICU).
          • Level 1 experience or neuro experience not required but preferred.
          • Prefer prior experience work at a similar size unit ICU.
