About the Role The Company is in search of a Volunteer Board Member
to join its Governance Committee. This role is pivotal in ensuring
the organization's operations are in line with its mission and
values, particularly in the areas of transparency, accountability,
and strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will work
closely with the Board of Directors and executive leadership to set
and review strategic goals, update organizational policies, and
provide oversight on board effectiveness. Key responsibilities
include conducting performance assessments, assisting in the
recruitment and development of new board members, and upholding the
highest standards of integrity in all governance
activities.Applicants for this position should have a proven track
record in nonprofit governance, with a preference for experience in
mindfulness, wellness, or related fields. A deep understanding of
governance principles, strong communication skills, and the ability
to think strategically are essential. The ideal candidate will also
have a commitment to the mission of the organization and
connections within the community. Expertise in legal, risk
management, financial, or human resources is a plus. The Company is
