Job Title:Vendor Risk AssociateLocation:CityScapeWhat you'll
do:As Vendor Risk Associate, you will work with WAB suppliers to
govern and facilitate adherence to the Corporate Vendor Management
Policy. The role will administer the full life cycle for third
party management processes from onboarding new vendors, to managing
existing third-party relationships. You will evaluate vendors and
build rating-based risk profiles, prepare audit documentation,
facilitate due diligence questionnaires, and obtain various access
approvals. The Associate will assist with monitoring vendor
compliance with federal regulations regarding technology, security,
operations, and data protection. The Vendor Risk Associate will be
responsible for performing and coordinating the initial approval
and renewal processes for the Company's Vendors as well as their
ongoing monitoring.What we are looking for:
- Assess Vendor Risk: Coordinate the review and approval process
for new Vendors, initiated by the line of business (LOB). Perform
the due diligence process for all new Vendors, including obtaining
and reviewing references, background checks, financial statements,
policies and other due diligence, as appropriate. Facilitate Due
Diligence questionnaires (DDQ) and supplier checks (OFAC, D&B,
etc.). Contribute to cross functional teams monitoring vendor
performance, contract, or risk. Assist with vendor risk reviews,
maintain current contracts, artifacts, and obtain applicable
approval for any exceptions to the vendor management policy.
- Maintain Compliance & Contracts: Facilitate contract review
between business partners, vendors and legal. Prepare documents,
support internal\external discussions regarding vendor management
issues, and maintain vendor compliance and approval of vendor
access. Assess the Vendor for compliance with regulatory
requirements and other risks and ensure the proper controls are
in-place.
- Support Stakeholders and Suppliers: Serve as a single point of
contact for Vendor Management related questions and issues and
interact with multiple internal stakeholders and vendors throughout
the vendor lifecycle.
- Partner with Key Stakeholders: Build close relationships with
business owners to understand their strategy or direction and
collect the due diligence review result.
- Influencing Change: Ability to be a change-agent, impact
decisions within and outside one's own organization and remains
comfortable challenging the status quo.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting with
regulatory compliance risk assessments and related infrastructure
enhancements.What you need to have:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or
Statistics and 1+ years direct experience in Vendor Management; or
- High school diploma and 5+ years direct related experience in
Vendor Management
- Effective oral and written communication skills, including
ability to effectively communicate with internal staff and external
customers.
- Experience with compliance and related mortgage lending
controls is recommended.
- Effective interpersonal skills and technical report writing
skills.
- Ability to work multiple, concurrent projects independently and
to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of
instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted
practices.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while
maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary internal
and external customer service.
- Intermediate knowledge and skills of computer productivity
suites to include Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Comfortable using financial/quantitative data.
- Strong attention to detail, adaptable, flexible and fosters
