JOB TITLE: GTO Technician
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for coordination with tool owners for the turn on
of bulk gas systems.
- Perform line verification, confirm pressure tagging, and line
open
- Support the administrative flow of documentation sign off
between tool owners and facilities
- Utilized piping knowledge to troubleshoot with tool owners and
facilities when roadblocks were presented
- Collaborate with teams to meet gas system requirements.
- Propose innovative solutions to challenges.
- Provide technical guidance during client interactions.
- Communicate issues effectively and propose viable
solutions.
- Participate in safety and operability reviews.
- Mentor team members and participate in educational
programs.
- Proficiency in Bulk and Specialty Gas Systems:
- Understand the design, operation, and maintenance of gas
systems used in semiconductor manufacturing.
- Familiar with various gases (e.g., N2, Ar, He, O2, Cl2, CO,
ClF3, SiH4, SiF4, WF6, etc.) and their applications.
- Know the equipment ( valves, regulators, tanks, valve boxes )
and materials (tubing, fittings) used in gas distribution.
- Understand system layout, sizing criteria, pressure drops, and
safety considerations.
- Working Knowledge of Industry Codes and Standards:
- Be well-versed in relevant codes (e.g., IBC, NFPA 55, SEMI S2)
and industry standards.
- Understand safety protocols, leak detection, and emergency
shutdown procedures.
Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of
education and experience
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
- Evidence of previous work in a successful team environment
- Self-motivated to learn
- Electro-mechanical aptitude
- Able to understand and abide by stringent safety and quality
rules
- Display aptitude for working an emergency/high stress situation
and performing problem solving actions properly and safely

protective eye wear, hard hat, lab coat, gloves, steel-toed shoes,

obstacles for site inspections, including climbing ladders, walking
on stairs, catwalks, and other types of uneven surfaces where
activity inspections are needed.
